Using my own domain
Updated over a week ago

How can I set up a personalised domain for my site?

If you don’t already have your own domain, you can buy an available domain name. They normally cost between $10 and $40 USD per year, or the equivalent in the currency of each country.

Set up the following two DNS from the control panel of your domain provider. Your provider should give you instructions on how to do this.

If the domain you would like to set up was example.com:

  • Set up the A record of your domain example.com so that it matches with the IP address 104.155.17.24

  • Set up the CNAME record of your subdomain www.example.com so that it matches with the domain example.com

Make sure that example.com and www.example.com don’t have any other A, AAAA or CNAME records except for the ones you have just set up.

How do I know that my domain has been set up correctly?

You can see if the setup has worked correctly by following one of these two links:

In each one, you need to put example.com as your domain. When green signals show up, it means that you have successfully configured these domains. If any red signals show up, it’s because your setup has still not been applied to all the servers in the world. Just wait for a little and they will soon all turn green.

Do I need to change the DNS of my domain?

No, when it comes to A or CNAME registrations, you should never have to change the DNS.

I’ve already set up my domain, how long will it take for my site to be ready?

Once you’ve correctly set up your domain, you may have to wait a little while for your site to show up properly. As well as having to apply your setup to all the world’s servers, LEVERADE will also have to generate an SSL certificate to make sure your site is secure and this process can take up to 72 hours.
